Irvington Community Schools (ICS) is a tuition-free, public charter school available to all PreK-12 students in Indiana. The ICS PreKindergarten (PreK) academic program is fee-based and serves young learners who turn four years old before Aug. 1, 2024. Additionally, students entering Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year must turn five years old before Aug. 1, 2024.

ICS offers all students an innovative and relationship-centered experience rooted in academic excellence. As a community-based school, ICS delivers an academic model based on the fundamental belief that it is our responsibility to prepare students to be thoughtful, involved, and productive members of society. This goal is achieved through student-centered learning, social-emotional learning curriculum, service-based learning, student-driven club activities, athletics, and peer mentoring.

APPLYING TO ICS

Irvington Community Schools participates in Indianapolis’ unified enrollment program called Enroll Indy. It’s time already to start thinking about enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year!

• All current Irvington students are guaranteed a seat for next school year.  No additional steps are required for these students.
• Students currently enrolled in the ICS PreK program are guaranteed seats in Kindergarten the next school year. No additional steps are needed.
• Siblings of current ICS students receive enrollment seating priority; however, parents must complete an application through Enroll Indy in order to secure their student’s PreK-12 grade seat for next year.
