Mr. Boyd Hendricks
The Irvington Community School Corporation is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Boyd Hendricks to serve as interim principal at Irvington Community Elementary School, effective Monday, April 24, 2023. Mr. Hendricks is no stranger to the elementary school, as before this appointment, served admirably as an assistant principal under the leadership of our current Chief Academic Officer Deanna Dehner and most recently under John Westfall, who resigned the position to become Director of the Excel Center-West.

Mr. Hendricks is a seasoned and experienced professional educator, having amassed a bevy and variety of experience over his more than 30 years of service, and is widely regarded as an outstanding teacher and servant leader, putting the needs of students and those under his supervision over those of his own. In making the appointment, Chief Executive Officer Hans D. Lassiter stated: “Mr. Hendricks is the obvious choice to lead our elementary school through the duration of our school year. In appointing him, he and his team at the elementary school can continue to provide consistent leadership and thoughtful planning for the school as we conclude this school year and begin the very important work of planning for the next school year in the weeks to come.”
