Maximus, Marcus, and Jesse did it again this weekend! They’re going to National History Day at the University of Maryland, near Washington DC! Their website, Lewis Hine: The Man who Brought Attention to Child Labor, won first place in the junior division.

The boys went to the Historical Society to complete their research. Of the projects that did this, theirs was selected for a $500 prize: the William Henry Smith Memorial Library Prize.

Each year, students around the world discover history through National History Day® (NHD) by creating historical research projects. Through the process, students develop skills in communication, project management, and historical thinking. The 50th anniversary contest will be held June 9th-13th.
