Irvington Preparatory Academy opened its doors in 2006 (then known as Irvington Community High School). It was initially located at what is now the Irvington Community Middle School on East Pleasant Run Parkway South Drive and is today housed in the former Children’s Guardian Home on University Avenue. Since the start of the school, Irvington Prep has graduated hundreds of students who have pursued a wide variety of careers. Some began their K-12 education in Kindergarten with us; others joined along the way. Whatever the case, we are proud of our Ravens and, as former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard said repeatedly in his video congratulatory message to our graduates at commencement during his time in office, we look forward to the day when our graduates return to the East Side of Indianapolis – especially to Irvington! – as contributors to the evolution and prosperity of the area.

We are proud of our growing heritage of providing a foundational college and career readiness education of choice to students living on Indy’s East Side – and beyond. Now that you’ve made your way into the world, we are very interested in keeping up with your lives and want to hear from you! Please be sure to update your contact info here. This way, we can continue to notify you of happenings at Irvington Prep, such as the annual soccer and basketball homecomings and the annual IPA Alumni Event. And be sure to visit the IPA Facebook page for even more information to stay current with your former classmates.

If you have any questions pertaining to IPA alumni and alumni events, contact IPA Counselor Stephanie Brinsley or IPA alumna Jamie Scott.

Until we meet again, best of luck in all you do, Ravens!
